The Singularity: When My Brain Tried to Be Smarter Than Me

(#rebootinglifewithai #abundancethroughkindness)

So recently, I’ve been watching this YouTube video about quantum consciousness. It’s two hours and eighteen minutes long, and I’m only five minutes in, but somehow I already feel like I’ve entered the Matrix with bad Wi-Fi.

The channel’s called Slumber Lab, which, ironically, is the opposite of what I’m doing. I can’t sleep because now I’m thinking: what if consciousness is a particle? What if every thought I have is basically a cosmic atom floating through the universe, bumping into other people’s thoughts, creating this multiverse of half-finished ideas and existential dread?

And then I remembered — I still haven’t done laundry. So yeah, very quantum of me.

Anyway, the theory says consciousness might be everywhere. Like the universe’s Bluetooth signal. Which means the thoughts of your ancestors, your mom, your high school crush, and even that random guy who cut you off in traffic — they’re all in there somewhere, floating in the same mental cloud storage.

Now, while my brain was melting from all that, I stumbled upon this news from back home in the Philippines — another flood control project. I just stared at my phone like, “Wait, are we rebooting history now?” Because it’s always the same plot: big budget, big speeches, bigger floods.

And before anyone gets mad, I say this with love. I’m Filipino too. I grew up on jeepneys and Jollibee spaghetti. But you have to admit, we treat government corruption like a teleserye we can’t stop watching. “Ay, same story again?” Still watches.

Here’s what hit me though: if we keep replaying the same patterns, maybe we need a new player in the game. Enter Artificial Intelligence. And no, not the evil robot kind. The practical kind — the one that can track where money actually goes, see where the lies start, and maybe remind leaders that karma has better data analytics than COA.

Imagine an AI system monitoring government projects in real time, exposing red flags before the next press conference. Imagine transparency you can’t delete. That’s not fantasy — that’s code.

But here’s the catch: AI learns from us. And let’s be real — we’re not exactly giving it our best material. So before we plug it into our systems, maybe we should teach it some values first. You know, like kindness. Accountability. The occasional humility.

Because if we feed AI our chaos, it’ll just learn to be chaotic. But if we teach it empathy, maybe it can help us fix what we humans keep breaking.

So yeah, I’m calling on my fellow Filipinos — the dreamers, the skeptics, the ones who survived the 8-hour traffic jam on EDSA without losing their souls — to start learning about AI. Not later. Now. Learn it, talk about it, demand leaders who get it.

We can’t keep saying “Bahala na” when the future is literally being coded in front of us.

And maybe, just maybe, this is how we stop the flood — not the one made of rainwater, but the one made of history repeating itself.

So here I am, trying to make sense of quantum particles, AI ethics, and government projects — all before breakfast. My brain might be overheating, but who knows? Maybe that’s what evolution feels like.

If I go crazy, at least I’ll go viral.
